Privacy Policy

StoredHub is a UK-based buyer of second-hand caravans, campervans and motorhomes. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you request a valuation, why we collect it and what your rights are under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This page is maintained by StoredHub to answer common privacy questions about our valuation service.

When you use our valuation form or contact us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Postcode
• Vehicle information (type, make, year, condition)
• The price you have in mind for your vehicle (optional)
• Photographs you upload of the vehicle
• Form-submission metadata and basic technical data (e.g. approximate location from IP, device/browser, referring page)

We use your information to:

• Produce a provisional and then a firm valuation for your vehicle.
• Contact you about that valuation and, if agreed, arrange collection and payment.
• Keep records of enquiries and offers.
• Prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

Our lawful bases are: (a) taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR); (b) our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our buying operation (Article 6(1)(f)); and (c) your consent for optional analytics and marketing cookies (Article 6(1)(a)).

The online valuation is generated by an internal calculator using the vehicle information you enter (type, year, condition) and a depreciation model. It is a provisional estimate only, subject to human review of your photographs and, where relevant, a physical inspection before any firm offer is made. It is not a fully automated decision producing legal effects.

We only share your personal information with providers that help us operate the service. These may include:

• Our website hosting provider
• Email delivery providers used to send you correspondence
• Our CRM used to track leads and communications
• Zapier, used to route form submissions into our tools
• Analytics and advertising providers (e.g. Meta), where you have given the relevant cookie consent

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it where necessary to provide our service, comply with the law, or with your consent.

Enquiry and valuation records, including uploaded photographs, are typically kept for up to 24 months from your last contact so we can respond to follow-up questions and meet accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymised. Records relating to a completed purchase are retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting law.

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK (for example in the EEA or USA). Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.

We use HTTPS in transit, restrict access to systems containing your information, and require our providers to have appropriate security measures. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to request portability. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We will not add you to marketing lists automatically. We only contact you about the valuation you requested unless you separately opt in.
